Networking on the platform
Let’s walk through some examples of what that would look like. Once you’re in the ‘Connections’ screen, click on the ‘network’ tab.
From there you can select the industry
And then enter criteria such as keywords, company name, location or domain.
From there you’ll be presented with the top 30 companies that match the criteria you’ve entered.
After reviewing the company profiles in the search results, you can choose which companies you’d like to connect with by clicking the ‘connect’ button.
This will then send a request to connect saying that you manage your jobs on Okappy and that you’d like to connect. Once the company accepts the invitation, you’ll be connected as a customer-subcontractor connection. From there it will be possible to message them directly within the Okappy platform.
If the company hasn’t seen the invitation or accepted it, then you can send a reminder through their connection screen.
Another way you can connect on the platform is by entering the email address of the company you’re searching for and the platform will prompt you with companies based on that email address.
Getting Started
Step 1 – If you’re not yet using Okappy, then the first step to begin connecting with others through the platform is to get started initially with a free trial or request a demo.
Step 2 – Then once you’ve got started, fill in your profile so the people you’re looking to connect with can make a better-informed decision about whether to connect with you.
Step 3 – Decide who the organisations are that you want to be targeting.
Step 4 – Begin searching for those organisations in the way we’ve described in this article.
